Greetings!

 

As the Secretary General, it is my utmost honour to welcome you all the fifth edition of DDUC Model United Nations Conference - DDUCMUN 2014!

 

DDUCMUN 2014, taking inspiration from the immense success of all the former editions, endeavours to carry forward the invaluable experience and further enhance the features that make it such a special project, while introducing new approaches.

 

With a very enthusiastic and talented organizing committee, we strive to make it a feather to be added in DDUC’s stream of successful MUNs. We strive to achieve our motive of promoting UN values, a platform where young minds get to exchange ideas, but also build a community, and a family, where bonds are created and shared for a lifetime.

This year, we bring to you a simulation of four major UN organs, The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), The United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC), The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), and The United Nations Historic Security Council (UNHSC) - with the aim to set an even higher bar for discussions, debating, and formulation of innovative solutions.

 

This is an era of great uncertainty, but also, of profound opportunity, for young individuals to make a difference. Like every edition of the DDUCMUN, this year, too, I am looking forward to fresh ideas and out-of-the-box solutions for some of the most challenging international issues!
